Control Top: Most control top support stops too short on the leg,
leaving the "saddle bag" area exposed and often accentuated. The
Spanx control top extends far enough to smooth out and support trouble
areas.
Gusset (crotch): In an attempt to cut corners, the industry has
added polyester and a thinner cotton to the gusset. Spanx saw this as
unacceptable and was determined to provide women with a better option.
Their gusset took a year to develop and offers women higher quality cotton
and a comfortable substitute for underwear.
Leg Bands: Spanx takes great care producing the all-knitted (patent
pending) process for the leg bands. Most manufacturers wanted to sew an
elastic band (which dug into the leg) or add a piece of lace (which can be
bulky). SPANX bands are knitted right into the garment making it all one
seamless piece that lies flat and comfortably on the leg.
